This morning, Year 6 children who had won privilege were treated to a film with popcorn.

This afternoon, there was fun and games in the hall as years 5 & 6 danced their way through the Key Stage 2 party. The parcel flew round the circle so fast, only these blurred photographs remain as evidence. Well done to all those who won prizes.

This afternoon, Year 6 were tasked with moving a block of jelly out of a tray. It was not as simple as it sounds however, as the tray was filled with olive oil, the jelly was covered in it and the pencils were also coated in oil. It proved to be a difficult task.

This morning, Year 6 were treated to a panto from Chaplins. They watched a version of Aladdin which contained both Despacito and Ghostbusters (strange combo). All the children thoroughly enjoyed the show.

Yesterday afternoon, Year 6 were tasked with creating a boat made out of paper and one sheet of foil. The boat had to float and be able to withstand different weights in the water.

Year 6 had the opportunity to perform their poems that they have written. They were all fab and some were very funny.

This afternoon, Year 6 enjoyed a spectacular feast of scientific madness. The University of Manchester showcased some very cool experiments for the children who all had a lot of fun.

Next week, the children will be writing poems in English.

We are having our dress rehearsal for the Christmas performance on Monday, followed by our performance in church on Tuesday.

The children will also be treated to a pantomime (oh no they won’t) by Chaplins this week.

In the afternoons, the children will be completing STEM-based activities.

This morning, Year 6 learnt the art of translating shapes.

This afternoon, Year 6 undertook a battle of wits, poise, knowledge and determination. It was a tense, yet useful game to improve their SPaG skills.
