STEM activities

Year 6 have today completed an array of interactive STEM related tasks, which should improve their scientific understanding and problem solving abilities.

They have had fun with jelly and oil, made cardboard boats and made waterbombs.

Posada figures

The children were this afternoon introduced to the Posada figures we have had in school this week. Unfortunately being last, we didn’t have enough time to properly delve into their meaning and culture – but what we did manage to find out was very interesting (especially judging by the gleeful faces in the background).

Next Week

Next week the children will be practicing hard for our Christmas performance.

In English we will be writing some Christmas poetry.

In maths Mrs Jones will teaching the Singapore bar model, which should be something a bit different for the children and should hopefully help them if they’re struggling.
