In our English lessons, we have been looking at the part of the Easter story where Jesus is tempted in the desert for 40 days and 40 nights.
After watching a short animation video about this, we completed two different diary entries, writing in the first person as Jesus. Our first entry was at Day 10, then our second was on Day 39 after the temptation of Jesus by the Devil.
This writing from Ellie this week was particularly impressive – well done Ellie!
Next week, our maths lessons will continue to focus on constructing and interpreting data.
We we will also be looking at the next part of the Easter story, as well as creating Easter-themed crafts and cards.
Next week in maths, Year 6 will be learning about statistics and how to interpret data such as pie charts.
We will also be looking at the Easter story in RE, as well as writing diary entries based on this story in our English lessons.
Some children will also be visiting the Big Bang Fair at Birmingham NEC on Wednesday – the largest celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).
