Next week we are…

Maths – developing our written methods of multiplication. Please support your child to learn their tables.

English – writing balanced arguments regarding whether zoos should exist.

Topic – reflecting on our fantastic camping trip and our learning about the elements.

What are we learning about next week.

We are all looking forward to our camping trip to Delamere Forest where we will discover more about the elements for our topic work.

Maths- we will be carrying out problem solving activities involving addition and subtraction.

English- the children will be completing their explanation texts they have started this week.

Don’t forget the children are spending Friday at Golborne High School.

So…what are we learning about next week?

In our topic work we will be investigating the properties and uses of  a range of rocks and minerals. We will also be looking at how different rocks were formed.

The focus for our English work will be writing a range of explanations.

The children will be practicing their methods of addition and subtraction in maths. They need to be confident with column addition and subtraction, including using decimals.

Don’t forget that all homework is due back by Wednesday. Children can return it sooner if they wish.
